From Nanaimo, follow the signs to Port Alberni, and from there to Tofino.
It is a scenic three hour drive
Just south of Tofino, look for the sign for "Pacific Sands Beach Resort" on left, continue for about 1 KM and look for the "Chesterman Road" sign to turn left.
Follow for about 500meters, and park in the public parking lot on corner.
Stroll down the pathway until you see the beach, and the island in the distance.

As you walk across the beach, keep to the right; when you reach the island, look for the yellow rope with the "private" sign, go under, go to the right and follow the boardwalk to the rocky shelf.
Look for the two staircases: the left one goes to Sea Square and the right one to La Picola.
Make sure to have good flashlights in case you arrive at night, and good rain gear, including boots. We usually carry our stuff in a backpack;  if you wish use the wheel barrow ( it is at the woodshed) Please make sure to return it.
